Garstone is a proud family owned and made Australian company committed to producing the finest quality leather lounges and sofas at a realistic price. Garstone craftsmen and women use upholstery techniques which give the product a sumptuous look and feel, with an emphasis on quality and feature stitching.

Garstone Design Furniture is constructed with solid timber frames using local plantation grown timbers which are kiln dried for stability. The frames are assembled by tradesman who nail, screw and glue the components and the addition of corner blocks and a lining board to outside arms and backs for stability. A No Sag Steel Spring System is used giving a greater travel capacity for seating comfort and Dunlop Enduro seating foams are used in our designs.

Shelta

Shelta’s originated in 1911 in Sydney when three brothers William, Herbert and Alfred House with friend Ebenezer Phillips bought out the remains of a fire ravaged business. In the mid 1930s Shelta expanded into beach and garden umbrellas and in 1937 opened a second factory in South Brisbane. By the mid fifties Shelta employed over 250 people manufacturing in Sydney. In the early 90s Shelta became enthused with the fabulously diverse range of outdoor furniture being manufactured in East Asia and took their first steps into outdoor furniture importing.
